Connecting people, opportunities and places in Tillydrone

We have an eggs-tra special Easter Saturday April 4th at St. Machar Park, 11am-2pm.

Friends of St Machar Park are holding a Community Engagement Event to ask you, ‘Do you use the park? Would you use the park? What would you use the park for?’

In a recent poll, many of you asked for the bike track to be reinstated, so with a lot of tracking down, a connection was made with Live Life Outdoors Aberdeenshire, who have a mobile bike track and bikes which have been hired for the event.

CWAS are also supporting us with their Trishaws and will take folks on rides around the park.

We’ll have an egg hunt, egg printing, and some egg rolling.

In the poll, a lot of you mentioned the footballers who have used the park every Saturday for more than a decade to play football.  We managed to connect to the guy who organises the football and they will also be involved in some way on that day.

Earth & Worms will be there with wildflower seeds bombs, and since we’re still in the process of organising the event, writing this at the end of January, there’s no confirmation as to who else will be there, but we are hoping for a few popup gazebos and with activities.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.

Happy Easter 2026
