Connecting people, opportunities and places in Torry

Walk and Talk: A different kind of support. Ever feel stuck in a rut or overwhelmed by life’s challenges? Sometimes the best way to move forward is to get moving.

Walk and Talk is a fresh alternative to traditional indoor sessions. It’s an opportunity to connect with a qualified Counsellor in a more natural and relaxed environment. Instead of sitting face-to-face in a room, we’ll walk side-by-side, giving you the space to think and talk at your own pace.

What are the benefits?

Fresh air and a fresh perspective: The act of walking can help clear your head, making it easier to untangle difficult thoughts and find new solutions.

A more natural conversation: Walking side-by-side can feel less intimidating than a formal setting, allowing one to open up more freely.

Release tension: Physical movement can help calm the mind and reduce stress. Convenience: We can meet at a location that’s easy for you, any green space.

Think of it as a chance to get some fresh air while working through what’s on your mind. This is an invitation to explore your thoughts in a new way, with the added benefits of nature and movement.

Walk and Talk Therapy is an initiative of Friends of St. Fittick’s Park and funded by Aberdeen City Health and Social care Partnership.
